Cookie Policy
This site stores nothing in your browser until you say yes. Analytics sits behind a consent banner; refuse it and nothing loads, now or later.

The short version
Nothing non-essential is stored in your browser until you choose to allow it.
The first time you arrive, a banner asks whether we may use analytics. Until you answer, this site makes no request to Google and writes no analytics cookie. If you refuse, it never will — and we do not ask you again.
That is worth stating plainly, because most sites that publish a page like this one are explaining a dozen trackers that loaded before you finished reading the first sentence.
What we would like to measure, and why
Which pages people actually read before they get in touch. That is the whole of it. The alternative to measuring is guessing, and guessing is how a site ends up rewriting the pages that were already working.
If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4. It sets two cookies, _ga and
_ga_H46M0HM304, which give your browser a random identifier so that three page
views in a row count as one visit rather than three. They expire after two
years, or the moment you clear them.
We do not use analytics for advertising or remarketing. There are no advertising tags, no tracking pixels, no social network embeds and no chat widget watching the page. The fonts are served from our own domain rather than from a font provider, and so are the videos — so loading a page here does not announce your visit to a third party you never agreed to.
If you refuse, or never answer
Nothing loads. Your answer is kept in your browser’s local storage under the
name uc:consent, so that the question is not repeated on every page. That
entry is the only thing this site writes to your browser on its own initiative,
it holds a single word, and it never leaves your device.
Strictly necessary cookies
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a cookie for security purposes — to tell ordinary traffic apart from an attack. It does not identify you and is not used to track you across sites, and it cannot be declined without also declining the delivery of the site itself. You can read what Cloudflare does with it in its own documentation.
What we do collect directly
The contact form and the newsletter, when you choose to use them. Both are covered by the Privacy Policy, which sets out exactly what is asked for and what happens to it.
Changing your mind
Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes the analytics cookies and the record of your answer together, and the banner will ask again on your next visit. The setting lives under Privacy in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge alike. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of a site from working — that is true generally, and not specific to this one.
